This was really good book. I know the author for her erotic short stories but I was very impressed with her creative paranormal, fantasy love story. It was really well written and steamy. Heroine is a sexless fairy but she is curious by the act itself. She is so curious that we get several descriptive scenes of things she watches inbetween her important errands. She goes around doing little deeds that help people for "The Maker". She also has a best friend, Alex, that is somewhat of a troublemaker fairy. Together they work as times to reveal things, save people, make important events in life happen, etc... They are really very good friends that sometimes know each other more than the other one knows themselves. One such event that we end up learning plays an important part in this story is about child that was meant to be aborted!!!! The way this story comes to play and the role every character plays to understand how the H/h ended up meeting was really a great story line!!!!!
So going back to love story, on one errand she meets a human that can see her!!! She is curious about this and can't understand how he can see her. Her friend nudges her to take her one wish a year to become human to be with this man. Their time together Is explosive but reveals many things that make her aware of other things coming to play in the work. Secrets are revealed but it does not matter to the heroine, because she is in love!!!
Hero on the other hand is hurting. He has lived through trauma and is a very loving soul. He saw things that haunt him that he was not able to stop. He is jus trying to write a wrong but questions if he did right. Inbetween his goal to make things right he meets heroine. He wants her but knows he can't have her. He enjoys their time together but refuses to join them for eternity. He loves her enough not to want her to suffer the endless pains he has had to suffer by changing her.
This is when it pays to have great friends. Sometimes having the support you needs helps us in difficult times make decision that are for the best. They may not be ideal decision but these decision will bring us happiness in the end. The road may not be perfect but with love we have to believe anything is possible.
Overall great read. It does have a lot of erotic scenarios that consist of other people the fairy is following and she is watching at beginning, but believe me get past these scenes and their really is a good story, and second half is her love story with the hero. Love scenes were written well though. But this is not a light read!!!! There is loss, abuse, 2nd chances, emotional drama, regrets, and so many twist and turns you have to read story from beginning to end to understand it. Don't skim or skip part because it is like puzzle that when it comes together at the end it is wonderful emotional read.
There are no OW or OM, but hero does kiss another woman for a reason. It can have triggers for some as they mention childhood abuse but nothing descriptive is given in the story. Another trigger is abortion and death of child. Some may even tear up a little at some parts of story, but it really has beautiful ending for all characters. The main story is about H/h but the secondary stories (the little girl that lived and another couple from another book in the series) added well to the story.
Heroine has never been human so she chooses to be female, but she begins as sexless fairy. Hero was gentle soul with heavy baggage. Highly recommend this story if you want to read story with depth and surprise ending.

I don't mind a little spice but the mindless sex before rhe story even began to be developed was a turn off rather than a turn on. The story had potential which was buried under gratuitous sex for no good reason. What a shame and a waste of a potentially good plot line.
This was a great read. I have to admit that it had me wondering at the beginning. I'm so glad that I stayed with it. Zeph and Sam are so good for each other, I think. I like that Zeph wanted to protect Sam (from what? You'll have to read it and find out). Moving on to book 2.
Sam a Fey and someone who is awestruck with humans but one day and one man sees her whom she think is human but much more than she knows his name Zeph and why can he see her . why does he feel right to her and him with her . and why did the fates give her permission to be human for one day is is her destiny meant to be with Zeph . find out in this book about fate love destiny and so much more
I started this book and my first thought was, "lame!".... But the more I read, the more that word left my thoughts. This book was actually amazing and had me tearing up at the end. So happy for Sam in the outcome. It's a free read that will get you hooked into more in this series. I'm about to go buy more books in this series right now!!!
This book is fantastic! It is a quick read full of creativity, positivity, hope, and several steamy scenes. The characters are well developed and interesting. Additionally, I love that the author takes a creative spin on traditional myths and legends. A+ book here. It is a standalone, although I would love to read more about Sam and Zeph in a sequel.
If you read Selina Kitt's books, then this book is a must! This is a part of a two book series. I personally am hoping for more in this story line.
This story revolved around fairies and the humans they are charged with helping. I thought that this was fresh, new and really enjoyable and still had the hot Selina Kitt twist. This is neck and neck with the "Baumgartner's" line. I am begging for more!
Didn't love it but I did enjoy it. It was a quick read and it was in first person with Sam's POV. Quick reads don't really have that in-depth character building. Felt more like wham bam thank you ma'am.
If you read the summary than you will know that this is a story for more mature audience. Definitely not a YA read. I however did not read the summary, I tend not to, I go by the cover, don't judge. One could say I was a little surprised but nothing I haven't came about in other stories, just caught me by surprise.
I'm not very fond of stories with the fay but I do enjoy a good vampire novel. When you pair them up it's not to bad.
